This degree is granted through NCSU’s top-20 College of Engineering (ranked 13th among U.S. engineering schools by the U.S. News and World Report) and NC A&T, which ranks among the top engineering schools in the number of African-American industrial engineer graduates. The Engineering Online Program in the College of Engineering at NCSU delivers superior distance education programs. The curriculum for this degree consists of a range of dynamic courses designed to build on the expertise and knowledge gained in the classroom and the workplace. The MLCSE students have an opportunity to work face to face with their instructors and their classmates during the four residencies that punctuate the 16-month program. The residency experiences will get students up and running quickly in the virtual teams and groups that are key to their distance education experience, while also serving as an opportunity to bond as a cohort and develop professional relationships that will last a lifetime. The cohort experience is designed to give MLCSE students a distinct advantage as they interface and compete with the broader NCSU and NC A&T online communities.
