Litt, Executive Director of CSER, served as the moderator and the panelists were Charlie Fisher, VP of Consulting Operations at Witt Associates; Dr. Gavin Smith, Executive Director of the Center for the Study of Natural Hazards and Disasters (UNC Hazards Center) and the Department of Homeland Security’s Center of Excellence – Coastal Hazards Center; and LTC Corey New incoming Brigade Commander of the DLA Susquehanna Distribution Depot.

IDB Blog: Strategic Studies from Inside the Classroom to Historic Battlefield

Dr. Wayne Lee, the chair of the Curriculum in Peace, War, and Defense at UNC-Chapel Hill, taught a session on "Power, Space, and Strategy".  On the following day, he linked his lessons from the classroom to a battle ride at the Guilford Courthouse in Greensboro, NC.  He explained the strategic importance of the battle in the Revolutionary War.
